Die Anfänge des Pietismus in Schweden

Auf Grundlage umfassender Quellenstudien und unter Berücksichtigung wirtschaftshistorischer, theologischer sowie frömmigkeits- und mentalitätsgeschichtlicher Aspekte fragt Claesson nach dem Verhältnis von Ökonomie und Religiosität im frühen 18. Jahrhundert in Schweden. Olof Ekmans Programm und dessen praktische Umsetzung in einer frühindustriell geprägten Bergbauregion stehen dabei im Mittelpunkt dieser Studie. Die Publikation wurde zuerst in schwedischer Sprache veröffentlicht unter dem Titel: Urban Claesson: Kris och kristnande. Olof Ekmans kamp för kristendomens återupprättande vid Stora Kopparberget 1689–1713 : pietism, program och praktik. Göteborg 2015.

Based on comprehensive source studies and taking into account aspects of economic history, theology, piety and the history of mentalities, Claesson examines the relationship between economics and religiosity in early 18th-century Sweden. Olof Ekman's programme and its practical implementation in an early industrial mining region are the focus of this study.
