Der wohl engste und über lange Jahre wichtigste Mitarbeiter August Hermann Franckes (1663– 1727) war Johann Anastasius Freylinghausen (1670–1739). Seine enge Verbindung zu Francke war auch eine familiäre: 1715 heiratete er Franckes Tochter Sophia Anastasia und 1727 trat er zusammen mit Gotthilf August Francke (1696–1769), ihrem Bruder, die Nachfolge als Stiftungsdirektor an. Das 300-jährige Jubiläum des von ihm herausgegebenen Geistreichen Gesangsbuchs, wohl die wichtigste Liedsammlung des Pietismus, gab Anlass zu dieser Ausstellung.
August Hermann Francke's (1663–1727) closest and most important colleague over many years was Johann Anastasius Freylinghausen (1670–1739). His close connection to Francke was also a family one: in 1715, he married Francke's daughter Sophia Anastasia, and in 1727, he and her brother Gotthilf August Francke (1696–1769) took over as directors of the foundation. The 300th anniversary of the Geistreiches Gesangbuch (Spiritual Songbook), probably the most important collection of songs of Pietism, which he published, was the occasion for this exhibition.
