Throughout the centuries the Foundations were a christian-influenced school town with an interruption during the German Democratic Republic, in which they lost their independence. Since they got founded again in 1991 the Foundations are a lively cultural and educational cosmos on the original historical site.
In a second part the guidebook briefly explains the different buildings in the area of the Foundations. Also their historical and current functions are described.
